Hi Lisbon Walking Tours offers free walking tours around Lisbon with freelance guides on a tips-basis, to assure expertise and commitment. Our guides have been living in the city for a long time, are passionate about it and are very well informed, entertaining and free to give their touch to the tour according to the expectations of each group.

Our tours around Lisbon normally take around 2:30 hours. We will take you around and explain not just about the city's history, but also the cultural aspects of the portuguese life, give you good tips about what to do and where you should go. Our tours don't have a fixed fare, you decide how much you are paying in the end, so everybody can join us regardless of your budget.

Alfama

Alfama is the oldest district of Lisbon, spreading between São Jorge's Castle and the Tagus River. You'll have the opportunity to experience the moor influence in Lisbon, the traditions and culture. Some of the places we'll be visiting are São Jorge's Castle, Portas do Sol View Point, Sé Cathedral and much more.

Baixa-Chiado

Baixa-Chiado is considered the new Lisbon, the centre of the city that was once rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. You'll have opportunity to experience some of the most historical moments of Lisbon's history such as the discoveries, monarchy, dictatorship until nowadays. Some of the places we'll visit are Praça do Comércio, Santa Justina Elevator, São Domingos Church and much more.

Belém

One of the most historical neighborhoods in Lisbon, Belém was the home of nobles from the first global empire in the world. On this tour you'll have the chance to experience the exciting age of discoveries and the stunning landmarks and buildings like Belém Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, the monument of discoveries and much more.
